About Counselling

What is Counselling?

Counselling is a collaborative process between you and the counsellor to facilitate change in your life. The counsellor listens with empathy to your story. He/She helps you become more aware of your situation and your patterns of responses to challenging situations. He/She will help you gain insight to your problems and learn skills to manage or cope with your life challenges. 

Working on change is hard work, which requires patience and perseverance from both you and the counsellor.

Thank you for embarking on this journey. You will be the main driver of change and the counsellor is your companion, a facilitator of that change. If you have any difficulties during this process, feel free to discuss them with your counsellor.

The outcome of counselling is usually positive. However, when working on challenging issues, you will have to experience difficult thoughts, feelings and emotions. Your counsellor will support you through this process. You have every right to stop an activity should you find it too overwhelming for you.

If you find that the counsellor has not been helpful or the interventions provided are not appropriate for you, please feedback to the counsellor immediately or at the end of the session. If you do not wish to continue to receive counselling, please inform the counsellor so that an appropriate closure or referral can be made. 

Confidentiality agreement

Your privacy and confidentiality are the counsellor’s responsibility. Except for the counsellor, no one else will have access to your information without your consent.

As the counsellor is bound by the duty of care, if she determines there is a risk of harm to you or others, or when the court requires access to your files, the counsellor will have to breach confidentiality. She will inform you about that.

Fees & Charges

Updated counselling fee (from 1/1/2024): 1,500,000đ/ session (inclusive of VAT) (both online/ in-person sessions). This fee applies for people residing in Vietnam . If you need financial support for counselling, please discuss the counselor and we will try to work out a feasible arrangement with you.

The fee should be paid before or right after the session. There is no refund for fees paid. If you have any difficulty making the payment, please discuss with the counsellor.

Please arrive on time for the appointment. The fee will be charged from the appointed hour.

If you need to cancel the session, please inform the counsellor at least 24 hours prior to the appointed session, so that the counsellor can make time for other clients. If you fail to do so, you will be charged 50% of the session.

The Counsellor

Hi! I’m a counsellor trained in Singapore. I obtain my Master degree in Counselling & Guidance from National Institute of Education, an institute of Nanyang Technological University. I’m a member of the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS).

I have experiences in casework, counselling and community work in Singapore. Even since I returned to Vietnam, I’ve been working with and supporting mostly young and working adults with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, relationship and family issues.

I adopt a holistic, strengths-based approach to counselling and guidance. A long-term mindfulness and compassion practitioner, I endeavour to bring mindfulness, compassion and kindness into my work to serve my clients, help them cope with life challenges and live richer and more fulfilling lives.

My main therapeutic approaches are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). I am also influenced by other therapeutic approaches. I constantly update my counselling knowledge and skills through professional trainings.

I wish to embark on a journey with you or your loved one to heal, transform, and build rich and meaningful lives.

Meeting by appointments (only). We are unable to attend to walk-ins at the moment.

Our new office is at A.01-01 Thủ Thiêm Dragon Apartments, 55 Quách Giai Street, Thạnh Mỹ Lợi Ward, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City (our in-person counselling service is temporarily unavaible as we are renovating this space). Online counselling via Zoom is also available.
